Getting to the Hotel

Driving from Baltimore/Washington International Airport:
Take Route 195 West to Exit 4/ I-95 South, and then head West on 495 towards Silver Spring. Take Exit 34/ Route 355 North toward Rockville (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike). Proceed approximately 3 to 4 miles on Rockville Pike and the hotel will be on your right.

Driving from Ronald Reagan National Airport:
Take 110 North/ George Washington Parkway to I-495 North. Stay on I-495 North, until you come to Exit 34 Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355 toward Rockville (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike). Proceed approximately 3 to 4 miles, and the hotel will be on your right.

Driving from Washington Dulles International Airport:
Take 267 (Washington Dulles Access and Toll Road) East to I-495 North. Continue on I-495 north to Exit 34 Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355 North towards Rockville (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike). Drive approximately 3 to 4 miles and the hotel will be on the right.

Driving from Points North:
Take I-95 South to I-495 West towards Silver Spring, and then take Exit 34 Route 355 North (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike). Proceed approximately 3 to 4 miles on Rockville Pike and the hotel will be on your right.

From Points South:
Take I-95 North to I-495 North/East heading to Bethesda/Tyson's Corner. Take Exit 34 North towards Rockville (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike). Proceed approximately 3 to 4 miles, and the hotel will be on your right.

GETTING TO THE NIH CAMPUS

Important Notice: All visitor vehicles, including taxicabs, hotel, and airport shuttles, will be inspected before being allowed on campus. Visitors will be asked to show one form of identification (a Government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, green card, etc.) and to state the purpose of their visit. Be sure to allow extra time for this vehicle inspection procedure. Visit the NIH Campus Security Web site for up-to-date security information.

Security and Transportation Information

There will be two buses available to go to the Masur Auditorium (Building 10) on the NIH Campus from the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel and Executive Conference Center.

The first bus will leave promptly at 7:00 a.m. and the second at 7:15 a.m. The bus will pick up and drop off at the atrium level of the hotel located on Chapman Avenue. Follow the signs in the hotel lobby to this entrance.

You will need a government issued photo ID for the security screening and entrance to the NIH campus.

Metro

The NIH campus is easily accessible by the Metro. The Hilton Hotel is adjacent to the Twinbrook station on the red line. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to pass through the NIH Campus Security. Masur Auditorium is a 10-minute walk from the Medical Center station on Metro's Red line.

Driving Directions

Please note that all visitor vehicles will be inspected before being allowed on the NIH Campus. All visitors will be asked to show a Government-issued photo ID and state the purpose of their visit. Be sure to allow extra time for these security measures.

From Baltimore and All Points North of Washington, DC:
Take I-95 south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, Route 355 (Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and head south toward Washington/Bethesda. You must enter the NIH campus using the main public entrance at Route 355 (Rockville Pike) and South Drive. Follow signs to Visitor Parking.

From Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI):
Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, Route 355 (Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and head south toward Washington/Bethesda. You must enter the NIH campus using the main public entrance at Route 355 (Rockville Pike) and South Drive. Follow signs to Visitor Parking.

From Dulles International Airport:
Head east on the Dulles Airport Access Road (267) for approximately 13 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Bethesda/Baltimore. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, Route 355 (Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and head south toward Washington/Bethesda. You must enter the NIH campus using the main public entrance at Route 355 (Rockville Pike) and South Drive. Follow signs to Visitor Parking.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport:
Head north on the George Washington Parkway for approximately 5 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Maryland. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, Route 355 (Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and head south toward Washington/Bethesda. You must enter the NIH Campus using the main public entrance at Route 355 (Rockville Pike) and South Drive. Follow signs to Visitor Parking.
